Утверждения переводятся в косвенную речь следующим образом:
S 1 said/said to S 2 /told S 2 that подлежащее + сказуемое
Союз that можно не употреблять.
“ I enjoy swimming,” Louisa said.
Louisa said ( that) she enjoyed swimming.
Louisa said to us ( that) she enjoyed swimming.
Louisa told us ( that) she enjoyed swimming.

Reported questions
1) Вопросы в косвенной речи обычно образуются при помощи глагола ASK.
“ How do you know this?”
She asked me how I knew that.
2) Если вопрос в прямой речи начинается с вопросительного слова (who, where, how, when, what etc), вопрос в косвенной речи начинается с ТОГО ЖЕ вопросительного слова.
«Where do you live?»
She asked me where I lived.
Если вопрос в прямой речи НЕ ИМЕЕТ вопросительного слова, то вопрос в косвенной речи образуется при помощи IF/WHETHER
“ Did you know this?”
She asked me if / whether I had known that.
3) В вопросах в косвенной речи порядок слов как в утверждении (Подлежащее + Сказуемое)
